Florida 4-point + wind mitigation in one file, plus equipment age lookup

Two of the most-requested Florida workflows just landed — and both are included in the single $59/mo plan, no add-on purchase, no per-report fee.

4-point + wind mitigation, same inspection file

Set the property state to Florida and a Florida add-on reports card appears on the inspection. Attach a 4-point, a wind mitigation, or both. Address, client, and company info autofill onto the forms, each add-on exports its own flattened PDF, and the one .inspecx file carries the main report plus every attached form. Starting the 4-point or wind mit from scratch? Choose the Standard findings report (photos, summary, full InspectDeck workflow) or the official Florida form up front. Already filled a standalone form on another visit? Use Import saved to pull it into the job instead of retyping, and hit Autofill any time to refresh shared fields from the inspection.

Equipment serial lookup: manufacture date, age, lifespan

Open Serial Lookup from the dashboard — no inspection even needs to be open to decode. Enter type (HVAC, tank or tankless water heater, appliance), brand, and serial; add the model for size and lifespan context. Each decode returns the manufacture date, age frozen at the inspection date, size/specs where the model supports it, typical lifespan guidance (e.g. HVAC 15–20 yrs, tank heaters 8–12 yrs), and a copy-ready report line. Log units to the open inspection so they print in the main report, or build a standalone equipment report with its own PDF. Trial builds include 3 free decodes.

Why it matters on-site: underwriters ask for 4-point ages and wind-mit credits on nearly every Florida file, and 4-point outcomes hinge more on equipment age than brand. Decode the condenser and water heater plates while you are standing at them, log them once, and both the main report and the insurance forms draw from the same record.
