The scary SmartScreen dialog is expected — the installer is currently unsigned. Three clicks past it and you are inspecting.
Windows 10 64-bit (21H2+) or Windows 11 64-bit, dual-core 1.6 GHz or better, 4 GB RAM (8 GB+ recommended, 16 GB for 300+ photo jobs), ~300 MB disk plus photo space, 1280×720 display minimum. Not supported: 32-bit Windows, Windows 7/8.1, ARM emulation, macOS/Linux, Chromebooks. Internet is needed once for install and activation — inspections themselves run fully offline.
Download the Trial from the download page and run it. Windows SmartScreen will warn about an “unknown publisher.” Click More info → Run anyway. The install is per-user: pick a folder, get desktop and Start-menu shortcuts, and the .inspecx file type registers so job files open on double-click.
The Trial clock starts automatically — 3 days, no key, no card. Set up your company profile once (logo, certification marks, scope and disclaimer wording), then start a practice inspection from one of the six templates. When you subscribe later, sign in with your InspectDeck account and export unlocks in place. Your trial work is already there.
